NORTH BRIDGWATER SPORT PITCHES

Sportfields were awarded this prestigious project by Aggregate Industries, after competitive tendering. These works had to be carried out in very difficult weather conditions on the low-lying Somerset levels, which tested our skills and knowledge, achieving clients budget, expectations and the tight deadline required.

x2 Natural grass sports pitches were provided in conjunction of the requirements of the North East Bridgwater development, as part of the Associated Development Works at Hinckley Point C power station. 

Sportfields installed two formal gravel raft suspended water table senior football pitches. The services involved included; Bulk Earthworks - removal of vegetation, cut and fill, de-compact sub-base, installation of porous membrane and laser laid gravel raft of 28,000 tonnes of porous stone aggregate. Imported screened topsoil laser laid to Sport England tolerances. Cultivations and Turf Installation with travelling sprinkler irrigation. Deep aeration and sand amelioration. Completed with 12 months of grass establishment and maintenance.
