WASPS ELITE PERFORMANCE AND INNOVATION CENTRE

Sportfields constructed a new full size 3G training pitch and high-standard natural pitches for Wasps RFC. The pitch was successfully handed over and received with great enthusiasm.

Scope of works:

World Rugby 22 AGP full size pitch

60mm pile height approved synthetic carpet installed including all earthworks, subbase and shockpad. 1.2m high spectator fence installed to perimeter of pitch, design & installation of 8-mast,  LED floodlighting system, rugby posts and independent surface testing carried out to confirm compliancy.

Natural pitches with irrigation and piped drainage system. All earthworks, soil mobilisation and structures complete, along with rootzone installation and gravel raft system introduced to further enhance the quality of drainage and percolation rate.

Application of soil ameliorants including granular seaweed, rootzone, fertiliser and seed.

Further construction of smaller training area on a natural playing surface to replicate performance properties of above.
